Butyl offers the highest level of chemical permeation resistance to gas and/or water vapors.

Butyl:

is ideally suited for the handling of ketones, esters, acetone, benzene, ethanol, and toluene;
stays flexible at extreme temperatures;
can withstand VHP;
has the highest impermeability to water vapor and is impermeable to most gases;
holds up well to physical stresses such as oxidation solvents and chemicals;
is black in color.
